At Lodge Terrestre in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, the structure is stripped to primary components: native brick, swimming pools of water for plunging, bedrooms open to the air, and verandas located to face the solar. In actual fact, the lodge is 100% photo voltaic powered—and visitors, too, are inspired to unplug: to “disconnect from know-how and reconnect with nature, synchronizing their day with the cycle of the solar,” as the positioning says.
Designed by architect Alberto Kalach and Taller de Arquitectura X (TAX), with interiors by Fernanda Romandia and Diana Backal, every construction is designed to additional reference to “water, flora, gentle, and air.”
